Queen’s 2020 Christmas Speech will be Broadcast via Pay-Per-View for £125

The annual Christmas Speech will be made available through pay-per-view this year as part of a bid to address the financial catastrophe the country has been driven into.

On-demand giant NowTV has bought the distribution rights to the Queen’s Christmas Speech and will be charging viewers a single payment of £125 to watch the speech live on Christmas Day.

The move has come as the UK government desperately seeks to find ways to address the crippling economic turmoil it has driven the country into.

“She’s the only asset connected to the UK government we have left that some people actually seem to like and trust” said Oliver Dowden MP. “If this works out well, which I can’t see any reason why it wouldn’t, we will look into setting up a subscription-based scheme for the Prime Minister’s COVID-19 briefings”.
