Majority of Husbands Support Stricter Christmas Restrictions
A snap survey of Isle of Wight husbands has shown that they would support tougher Tier 4 restrictions this Christmas if it meant they could avoid socialising with in-laws and other family members.
A total of 87% of husbands surveyed during the snap survey expressed strong support for the tougher Tier 4 measures being extended to the Isle of Wight, despite low infection rates, as long as it meant they would not have to deal with any extended family on Christmas day.
“I see this as an easy win” said local husband Dave Pickett. “I don’t like them, they don’t like me. This pandemic has been a blessing in disguise. I haven’t had to deal with them in ages. Lets make this thing permanent.”
The sentiment from the husbands is that we are seeing a situation where London is again being favoured above the rest of the UK. Husbands across the Island are asking why those in London are being let off their annual Christmas duties and the rest of the country are being forced to continue with theirs on top of the already stressful year.
“I was looking forward to a perfect Christmas” said other local husband Paul Pockett. “Everything was heading towards the dream. Me on the sofa. Beer in my hand. Home Alone 2: Lost in New York on TV. Absolutely zero extended family members to discuss what we haven’t done this year with. After everything we have been through this year this is something we deserve.”
