Introduction of Casio Watches Excites All
The Isle of Wight tech-community were overjoyed this week by the latest introduction to the Islands electronic fashion scene, the Casio digital wristwatch.
The timepiece which handily straps to your wrist removes the need to waste precious minutes fumbling around inside waistcoat pockets looking for your pocket watch, or searching to consult the clock tower of your local church to realise the time.
Coming in a range of ultra-fashionable colours the watch will suit any situation, whether you are selling beach towels with hilarious designs in St Thomas Square, or patronising your local summer fête.
“Whenever I was cooking my home made loganberry jams I would enter a state of unbearable panic over whether my old wristwatch would be able to handle the splashes bursting forth from my crockpot”, said Mavis Jamboree. “Thats all gone with my Casio. Its splash proof up to 0.03 hectares. Now I can cook jams and check the time like the carefree, wistful gazelle that I am.”
This sudden leap in technology has sparked rumours over what the next developments could possibly be.
“I dont know how they can possibly improve on this”, said local tech Mark Witherbottom. “They’ve reached perfection. Maybe they could try and solve the need to carry a hefty great calculator around with you everywhere. If there is anything that needs to be more portable its a calculator.”
