“COVID Living” Expansion Released for The Sims 4

EA Games have released a “COVID Living” expansion pack for the latest in their long-running videogame series “The Sims”.

The expansion will allow players to put their virtual Sims through the same tedious, horrific, mentally-exhausting hellscape we have all been forced to live through for the last 9months.

Sims will be forced to enter and leave various forms of restrictions to their day-to-day lives at the whim of the player. Many Sims will be indefinitely furloughed depending on which career path they were placed on, others will be forced to continue going to work with the risk that they may contract the COVID-19 virus and spread it to their Sim-family.

Whilst forced to stay at home the expansion will allow players to have their Sims engage in a variety of activities to keep their Sim’s new “existential dread” meter from dropping too low. These will include: baking banana bread; pretending to learn a new language; Zoom call other Sims and crying gently whilst watching the news.

“I can’t wait to play it” said Sim’s fan Zoe Fluttom. “I’ve been through absolute hell since March 2020, along with almost everyone else. I think unleashing the same shit storm onto some virtual Sims and watching them suffer the way we have will be the release I need right now.”
