Sci-Fi Fans Disappointed by Promises of Hover-Travel
A group of German science-fiction fans were left in a state of disappointment at Ryde hovercraft terminal after travelling to the Island on the service yesterday.
The group of tourists had traveled from Dresden in eastern Germany to Portsmouth after hearing reports of a craft capable of hovering across the river Solent.
Expecting to come across a vessel capable of levitating above the ground and flying across from Portsmouth to the Isle of Wight, the group were left severely disappointed when they found a 70-ton aluminium, eardrum-bursting beast.
Since a marathon binge-watching session, where the group watched all 75 episodes of The Jetsons in one night twice, they have been obsessed by discovering a working fluggerät, or flying car.
“Certainly we are most disappointed, said the groups least socially awkward member you advertise this as a hovercraft but it is total shizen. Why do you even have it? There is a boat over there, right next to it, with more than adequate train connections.”
The group were then detained by Hovertravel security. We are unable to comment any further on their continued, or previous existence.
